Effective October 2026. These terms explain how Stand Out Wayne County works and what you can expect from us when you use the site, submit a business or buy a package.
Using the site
Stand Out Wayne County is an editorial site that shares stories about businesses and people in Wayne County, Indiana. You may browse, share and link to our pages freely. You may not copy our articles, photos or recordings for commercial use without written permission.
Business listings
Business details come from the business owners themselves or from information gathered during interviews. Owners are responsible for the accuracy of their own listings, including contact information, hours, service areas and photos. Listings may change or be removed at any time.
We may edit listing text for length, clarity and style. We do not fact-check every claim a business makes about itself, so treat listings as advertising from that business and stories as our own reporting.
Editorial independence
Payment never affects editorial ranking or coverage decisions. Sponsored content, paid placements and package features are always labeled. Businesses that purchase a package or use partner services do not earn or guarantee an independent feature, review or mention beyond what their package includes.
Packages and payment
We offer a free basic listing and paid packages that add features such as expanded profiles, photos, video and a featured story with a podcast interview. Each package page describes exactly what is included before you pay. Prices are shown on our pricing page and may change; the price shown at the time you buy applies to your purchase.
Delivered work, such as a recorded interview, an edited story or a published profile, is nonrefundable once it has been produced or published. If a package is not yet started, contact us and we will work out a fair resolution.
Content you send us
If you submit a business, answer interview questions or send photos, you confirm the information is accurate and you have the right to share it. You keep ownership of your own content, and you give us permission to publish, edit and promote it on this site and on our social channels.
Accounts
Staff accounts are for authorized team members only. Keep your password private and tell us right away if you think someone has used your account without permission.
Links to other sites
We link to business websites, partner sites such as JW Market Strategies and Instant Web Tools, and videos hosted elsewhere. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices.
Disclaimers
The site is provided as is. We work to keep information current and accurate, but we cannot promise that every detail is complete or up to date. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for losses that come from using the site or acting on information found here.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site grows. The date at the top shows the current version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
